Out Of Ideas... Dead Ranger!!!

Wiring diagram should help. Its only 2 wires.

I don't know if your year has this, but mine does. There is a little key that acts as a kill switch that plugs into a keyhole (of sorts) on the steering column. It's supposed to be a security system: all it ever was to me was a pain in the butt, so I put the key in there and left it there. However, if it had happened to come out, that would create some distinct starting problems, i.e. it wouldn't. Something to think about from someone who is more of a musician than a mechanic.

haha i know exactly what you're talking about. I've seen those in GM vehicles but I know for sure that mine doesn't have one. Thanks tho

when i said bypass the inertia switch i mean unplugg it and run a jumper on the connector. i'm not sure what wires you'd have to tap into to bypass the whole system and just run battery voltage, but if you have a book you can figure it out using the wiring diagrams in the back.

Would it be safe to say that I need a new fuel pump if I hear nothing when I connect the pink/black directly to the positive on the battery and the black to the negative? The four wires that go on the pump (from left to right) are: black/yellow, yellow/white, pink/black, black. I know pk/b goes to the inertia and y/w goes to the instrument cluster. Btw I didnt use test leads I used the wires from tester lights. Don't think it makes a difference. Just wanna know if I checked it properly before buying the pump. Thanks and heres a pic

If I remember right ya, you need a new one. Looks like you should get the entire assembly because your metel fuel fittings look like they are about to rot out.
