-Well, wanted to say thanks for all the help everyone has helped me with on the sight during and pre the sas.
-It was a tremendous, and anyone wanting to do it,, be sure you do WAY MORE than enough research.
-TAKE YOUR TIME, i see some people saying they could do it in a weekend,, and i probably could with eb axles, and no regear,But why put old rusty axles in the rig your trying to build to be more reliable.
_ Do more research, which is why i wanted to post up my build, so people can ask questions, or maybe mention something they would change to make the whole thing work better, and bounce my ideas off other peoples to make it theres

Im 99.9 % of the way, and already have gone and played in FWD. Its worth the 15 months i put into it. yes 15 months. (a lot had to do with $ and redoing things to make them better) and i do have my bed painted and on, ill try and get a pic.
So heres the mods

And now the 44. I was going to use the stock arms,,,, and thats how i made the mounts for the coil.. I drilled two holes in it and bolted it in the stock location, as well as welding it....Also, I Gussetted it to make it stronger...

Yah, glad i went to school to weld, because this looks like $h!T
Its not braking, bolted in via the power steering bolts, and one big bolt up front, then welded in and to the coil tower.
(its the heavy duty tower for the EB from bronco Graveyard,,, Great Choice)
tracbar-1.jpg

Here she is bolted in (yeah i put a washer on that trac bar) I had to cut the front of the engine crossmember, either the steering or trac bar was going to hit it,, I cut it about 1.5'' down from the bend to help keep its strenght
SAS.jpg

Here she sits gettin prepped for paint (i used a HF spray gun, Ace hardware Exterior Paint, and Spray on Bedliner) (used same gun and paint when it was painted green)

Also cut off the rocker pannels,, they were rusty and pointless

I know i left a lot out, but ask questions,, Its hard to look back and explain all that work... No i Dont have a pic of my trans crossmember, but i loved how i built it compared to the ones ive seen on here, as far as the radius arms,,,, look it up on here for the build, i copied someone else... There build is on here, somewhere,, look it up, its an old thread,, In think its in a thread with a link to another site....

awesome
What rear springs?
What's the spring rate on those deaver fronts, and how does it ride?
I still dig those half doors.

the rears are 63'' chevys no overload with blocks,, I wish i would have inboarded them, Not sure the spring rate on the front off the top of my head,
A lot of people have had good success with them..
It rides a lot better than the old did, seems to be a lot more stable. I am Pleased with it, considering it was an eyeball alignment. I want to take that Body lift off, i thnk itd ride better.

I got steering from partsmike.com Nd it was great! Just reused stock locations.. No highsteer.. The coil buckets are from bronco graveyard... They are the Eb heavy duty ones... They are. Very heavy duty

those radius arms look to have about the lifespan of an ant. even with a 2.9.

may want to beef em up some more.

you also may want to consider raising the trac bar mount on the axle to the same height as hi steer knuckles and run hi steer too when you get the coin saved. the working angle will be allot better for handling.

this is just honest experienced opine.....cause you can bet your arse i love the whole truck in general

Yeah, The saved, coin is the problem, i put a lot of $ and time into it. Im funemployed now and have a Cr500 dirtbike that needs put together.
But it is on the list. arround here its mostly mud, so im not to worried about it now, but yes it will handle a lot better..
Im also probably going to get a bit softer Coils. lower it a bit. and get more flex outta it. although imo it does damn good now.
