Got a Freaking rocking deal on some Carolina work boots, like 30% off as they have discontinued this model....
The leather is smooth dark brown(finding dark brown shoe polish was a PITA!) What I understand Is you should Oil your boots once a month, so I did the initial oiling using Red Wing's leather conditioning oil.
According to the instructions I should apply liberally and let it sit overnight and wipe off excess, well I did that and the shoe basically soaked all the oil into the leather.
I noticed other Carolina shoes had some oil stains on the packaging paper, So I am doing a second coat of oil....
Do I need to oil these boots every month? I want this set to last, as they look killing, and will look MUCH better with a little polish and brushing, they will shine.
I have some suede leather Wolverines(durashocks) they are good boots except I had some stains and scuffs set into the leather...and they will never shine, just looked chewed up and scuffed up!
