Finally had some time to get back to rebuilding the 2.3 today. Installed the oil sending unit a few weeks back where it is now. Could have sworn that's where it was before. I've got an old spare engine I'm pulling parts from, and it looks like the factory sender is in the currently empty hole just right of the intake. This is a '97 if it makes any difference. Can anyone point me in the right direction

The port behind the intake manifold is oil pressure, the one under the #4 intake runner is the coolant temperature sender, I think you have the oil pressure in the coolant temp port... and just an FYI, if you didn't, putting a tee in the coolant temp port won't work, your temps will be way off, temp needs to be in flow, pressure doesn't matter...
Ok cool thanks, not sure how I got those mixed up. Replacing the factory oil sender w/an Autometer, that's what's in the pic. I'll move it tomorrow. In the parts block I have, there's a factory plug in that lower coolant hole, kinda strange

I just changed the injectors on my '97 tonight and saw the oil pressure sender but didn't get under to look at the coolant area to know if it had anything or not, on mine at least there's a temp sender in one of the heater tubes in the thermostat housing...

I figured, I didn't see it in the lower intake like they used to be... but didn't look either
