From what I just read, if your motor uses a ph8a oil filter
You'd get better filtration by shoving a piece of window screen in a coffe can and duct taping it to the filter adapter than from using a piece of garbage like Fram.
I run my truck hard so added cooling can't hurt
And you know these things... how? Is that more of your infamous book learning, or do you have actual real-world experience with running oil coolers on your vehicles? Or with hauling/towing heavy loads? Some how I doubt it.It could hurt if the filter adapter does not incorporate a temperature by-pass that only allows hot oil to flow through the filter to the cooler. Extending the time it takes cold oil to reach running temperature will not help wear on cold start-up.
"Run hard" needs an explanation. Most street engines with modern oils don't gain from an oil cooler, at least what you can measure. Using synthetic would be a better choice.
Cooling through the rad is for transmission oil, not engine oil. If your "run hard" is heavy hauling/towing and you have an automatic you'll do more with a trans cooler.
