Not Another CTOR Build

holshotracer basically has the same set-up and hes been rnning is for almost a year and he hasn't hit his yet.

Good to hear. So you said if it does you have an 84 crossmember to swap in? Whats the difference? Do you have a pic? Was it only offered in 84 or is there a range of years?

i have never seen the crossmember on on anything newer then 85. Always found them on B2's with 2.8Ls

I'll try and dig up a pic

i got my steering drilled and tapped, slow at work with little to nothing to do.

I usually make the jam nuts but i said to hell with it and ordered them from RuffStuff for $20 for all4 shipped.

2 frames

came from 91 explorer and it was installed in my B2 build (this is the same frame as my B2 for the truggy)

I see. Didn't know if you checked during mockup. Your RA location is close to where mine will be, and I've got an idea what to do with the crossmember if it does interfere. Hopefully it won't though.

i haven't even hit mine once. you would think that it would hit but at full stuff i have about an inch of clearnce.

heres the 84-85 next to the 86

Oh cool. Thanks for the pic. So it goes over the exhaust rather than under it. That'd be nice.

yes, but it does not fit well over the convertors.....or a doubler do to the driveshaft location.

Steering installed, Front shocks installed, Started on the front bumper, and played a little and flexed it out a little with the chain fall.

Front springs def need to get broken in though. Still not happy with the overall ride height....but i will have to most likely wait till after my trip south to change that.

okay basically this is just the back of the cage veiw only (or "c" pillar)
each color represents a peice of pipe.

going back out in a bit to start on the rock sliders.

I moved the rear leaf front hangars two inches forward to get my shackle angle better. I noticed at stuff the shackles flattened out and the leafs touched the bumper. All better now.

Heres the side of the rear section of cage.

I plan to tie the cab's exo cage to the slider (reason for the slider sitting so far from the rockers

The slider didn't end up where i thought it would in the rear. One cause of the frame curved up and two cause the tire to cab clearance wouldn't allow it where i thought it would go. Heres what i think i might do at the cab corners.
