(Not an RBV) My Dakota.

Yeah Holsets are supposed to be pretty tough, and they're cheap and plentiful. I tracked down a 21cm housing for it now so I should be golden!

Air hat, silicone parts, t bolt clamps and another digital FMU because the one I got on ebay was ****ed up.

ooooh i cant wait to see this:D make shure to post up utube vids when its done :D

My 21cm housing came today. Much bigger than the original 12cm, so hopefully it should spool when I want it to.

I finally ordered a No-Slip for it too, hopefully it'll be here this week, the rain is going to be so fun with a locker :headbang:

21cm is gonna spool kinda late or is that what you want? I know this is gas verses a diesel but a 21 cm is a pig on a cummins, I even swapped out the 18.5 to a 16.

Remember, I've got twice the RPMs to work with. If the 21cm does turn out to be too big, I'll step it down to 16cm, they're easy to find.

Now locked and ready to rock! This No-Slip is smoooooth, it's so nice to be DD'ing a locked vehicle again, I can actually take off and go instead of spinning one tire. It gets sideways no problem in 2nd on dry pavement, the rain is going to be a hoot. God I love lockers.

So I went strolling around a couple junkyards to just poke around and see what's what. I was kinda hoping for some reason I'd find a set of headers.

So at the second yard I find the last Dakota in the yard and see the hood closed and the doors locked, so I peer into the wheel wells and what to my wondering eyes should appear, a set of headers (Flowtech)! So I put a flat blade in the door lock, hit a couple times with a hammer and I'm in, to my surprise. Took me a while but I got the bastards out. I know these aren't the best headers but I don't think I did too shaby for $36... It also had a set of mopar valve covers, too bad I already paid $$$ for a set... This is the only good thing to come from C4C!

The guy at the counter was kinda upset, he was the one who locked the truck hoping to take them for his Ram tomorrow :nana:

The green paint you see is the paint they use to mark the engine as a C4C engine.

Well, I almost got it for $319, but it was a mistake on their website so they charged me their cost of $402. They're ~$430 evrywhere else for this application.

Traction bars!!!
These Lakewood traction bars are for a Ranger 2wd, they share the 2 1/2" leaf and are sprung over like 4wd Dakotas. You need 2wd spring plates and U-bolts like my truck has (previous owner swapped in a 2wd axle, flipped the perches and used the 2wd hardware). Also the supplied bolts are a tad short and my side exit was in the way so the exhaust is dumped for now. They work pretty good, I just need to shim the passenger bar a little bit and it should be golden. I love the solid feeling of no axle wrap! And goddamn I hate dumped exhaust, I don't know how you guys do it...
