(Not an RBV) My Dakota.

nice. i hate you by the way. i just got a 93 2wd with the 3.9L V6 and only 94,400 miles on it. Ha Ha i traded (2) 3 wheelers, my original xbox and my ps2 for it. one of the 3 wheelers didn't run and out of the 6 tires only 4 held air. Even came with a K&N air filter... ha ha that adds what? 10 hp claims K&N. i would give my first born child for a 4x4 dakota with the 318 i think they are very nice trucks... small and huge engine. i just wish they came with a straight axle or TTB instead of IFS. good news is that my BII will be seeing more dirt now that i have a replacement daily driver.

Yeah I was lucky, one night I just decided I wanted a 4x4 v8 extended cab 5 speed Dakota so I hit up craigslist and bam there it was.

Somethings gotta be wrong with it to be getting 20 mpg. I've driven a of lot of dakotas over the years and not one ever got better than 15 mpg, even the 4-bangers.

But hey, if it's actually getting 20, this is one instance where you shouldn't try to fix it.

I'm getting a tad better than most people on the Dakota forums but the 5 speed probably helps, most people over there can get 18+ on the freeway.
My set of 1.7 roller rockers are on their way along with a Hurst shifter :headbang: From what I've heard the rockers usually improve mileage.

What happened to the front bumper? I agree with it looking better with the 31's :icon_thumby:
It's a steel one I was building but I think I'm gonna scrap it since the IFS is exposed without the stock bumper and looks stupid.

nice kota, i use mine to drag around my explorer. i realy want to build a gen 2 5.2 5 speed as a trail rig. nice truck

No work today since it's been slow so I installed my M1 manifold! Only took me about 4 hours including a run to the parts store. Valley looked clean, no sludge build up.
It runs great, no low end loss that I can tell and it's a noticeable gain after 3K and really noticeable after 4K. Can't wait till my HS 1.7s and Hurst shows up :icon_hornsup:
Only pic I have.

hey you guys still got a 1354 laying around? now that i got the dakota i'm buildin the bronco. lookin into what it will cost me for a doubler. does the rear xcase need to be a 1354 or can i use two 1350's? whats the diff? thought maybe you would know

when i was setting up the deal for my dakota it was all through email and i had to ask like 4 times if it was 4x4 or not stupid lady just kept ignoring me. i had to ask 3 times just to find out manual or auto.... auto is pretty smooth. i changed filter as soon as i got it. i figured that it hadn't been changed at all in the 94,400 miles on the truck

Yeah my dad still has a 1354M for sale. I've got a T&M doubler I'm also probably not going to use as well...
You can use either case in the rear.

Yes...

I installed my Harland Sharp 1.7 roller rockers yesterday after work, this truck is really starting to wake up!
