no spark at coil

Is the rotor in your distributor even turning? take off the cap a turn it over to see. I just had a spark problem with my other truck. I check all the grounds, changed the coil, cap and rotor, plugs, wires, ecm, and it turned out that my timing chain was broke and not turning the cam in result not turning the distributor. ended up bending my valves and had to pull the heads. I hope this is not the case for you.

Good luck man, it sounds like your having a time with it. Why relocate the inertia switch? It's there for a reason lol

Relocating the interia switch is usually done because the firewall rusts out around the mounting screws.

OR someone got into enough water to get it wet.

Considering that you cannot change the Distributor pickup without removing and disassembling the distributor it's easier
to swap in another whole dizzy...

I changed the pickup coil today. still no spark. Im wondering if both of my TFI's I have are bad. I may have to splurge and get a new one. aside from the TFI, pickup coil, and coil. what else can I do as a simple test on using a volt/ohm meter. thanks.

Just to update on the no spark issue, I now have the truck running. It turned out to be the EEC relay. Had the truck timed, changed relay, cleaned plug for relay, changed plug for coil. truck runs better and seems to have a little more getup and go. Thanks to all who helped. Cheers!
