my friend has a 2002 ranger ext cab with a 3.0 we replaced the tranfercase motor and the 4 wheel drive module but there is no power getting to the switch. and were all out of ideas. does anybody have any tricks or advice on what to do next? thanks alot

There are a ton of fuses powering that system, have you checked them all?
Engine compartment fuse box fuse 13
Interior fuse box fuses 5,9,10,11. Also fuse 28 if it's a manual trans.

i think we did. ill double check tonight. ya its a 2002 manual trans with like 250xxx miles. my neighbor bought it last summer and ive been working on it for him. he is 65. would there be any other posable problems if its not the fuses?

thank you and will do. and i might add that TRS people are great!

Have you gone through the diagnosing routine provided in the Tech Section? This is excellent for tracking down your 4x4 shifting issues.

After following the diagnosing procedure, I ended up having an intermittent/low power to the module issue, and fixed it by simply running another 12V line to the module. Instant fix.
