What was the diagnosis or solution???Just bought a 86 b2 today and had a hell of a time driving up from NM. As soon as I got to a prolonged incline the truck would lose power struggle up the hill and could not maintain speed. It actually stalled out at Wolf Creek Pass. I'm new to the Ranger/Bronco2 and it sounds like you have or had a similar problem.

Your fuel pressure readings, the fuel system should hold pressure for days if not weeks; from what I read, yours is dropping off almost immediately after engine shutdown.

There are a number of things that can cause this. Have you done anything to the fuel system other than changing the inline fuel filter?

Maybe take a minute in the introduction forum... introduce yourself and share a picture of your new Bronco II.

Hello. I have not found a solution as of yet. Replaced the injectors, distributor, gaskets. Have not found the problem. I have a new fuel pump on the way in. My new problem is it running OK when starting, but losing power and shaking when warmed up. I'm taking a break from it before I go insane.

I am in Colorado, BTW. I've driven up and down Wolf Creek Pass in a snowstorm in my 1967 T-Bird (no longer have it). It was an adventure.

@gaz not previously. I have now replaced the fuel pump, filter, and injectors, IAT sensor and still no luck. It takes longer to start now than previously. The problem is now intermittent. Today I drove on the highway with good power. Once I turned around, it went back to limpy, gutless, slooow drive home. I can only figure it is some electrical connection that goes in and out. I'm determined to find it, but am getting exhausted from working on it all the time to no avail.

**Update: My power issue was indeed clogged catalytic converters. They finally blew out after going on the highway (got so tired of being stuck in town). Truck has tons of power now...and I have many new parts. I'm so glad this is over and I thank everyone for their help.
