NO CLUTCH PEDAL Need to move by friday

I have a 94 4.0 5-speed, and I was having very little to no clutch at all! so in my boces class for auto tech, I put the truck on a lift to bleed the clutch, I tried to gravity bleed it and pressure bleed it and now I have absolutely NO CLUTCH AT ALL. I need help, I have to get it home by Friday, and cannot tow it home. if i can't get it back by Friday then I will have no transportation for 2 weeks and I won't be able to help my friends band move equipment

You've clearly got a major hydraulic leak. It can basically be one of three places - the master cylinder, line, or slave cylinder. If there are no visible leaks at all and the fluid level is good, then suspect the master cylinder. Otherwise, repair the leaking spot.

as i read in a former post it may be the air in the master cylinder issue

Air doesn't just get there magically without a leak. Something CAUSED this.

Is it leaking anywhere? Out of the bellhousing maybe? (bad slave)

You sure you got it bled correctly?

Take the line out of the slave and see if the pedal is solid. It should be.(If master and line are functional and free of air)

probibly my incorrect bleeding issue... i tried to pressure bleed it and hooked the sucker up first so maybe i pulled too much fluid out and suck the fluid out of the master

What I don't get is why you can't ask your "boce" for help.

It's simply gotta be much quicker and much more effective than going for text help on the Net.

Didn't this start by you bleeding it to solve a problem? That is NOT a maintenance job - it's a repair. Why/how did air get in there to begin with?

I believe because the slave cylinder is leaky.VERY SLOWLY LEAKY. But I can't deal with that right now.

If you have the truck in a shop and on a lift then put in a new slave cylinder and be done with it. I am guessing that this place has a tranny jack laying around that you can use. The last time I blew out a slave cylinder in my Ranger I drove it to the auto parts store with no clutch and then back home and had the thing done and out the door in like 3 hours. Some people think it's a pain to change them but nobody seems to realize that they spend more time talking about doing it.

Two hours?

Dismount the Master from the firewall (disconnect pedal and remove switch first, take the LF tire off,, jackstand that side).
Flip the Master over from its installed position (yes, you will have to finagle the line and dismount the reservoir to do this, there is a little joggle in the plastic hydraulic line that'll go under the fenderwell liner - use that slack). I'd suggest pushing the fenderwell liner away and prop it away with a board or something, you'll need the room.

Once you have it oriented with the rod facing down, fill the reservoir. Then go down and crack the slave bleeder. Fluid should flow out, bringing air out with it. Keep the reservoir above the master and full of fluid or you will suck air in. Close the bleeder.

If you have a helper, have them hand- stoke the master a few times (hard, but doable), then crack the slave bleeder again, watching for more air bubbles.

Re-mount the master, connect the pedal and switch, and try it.
