nitrous on a ranger

why not?

i was kinda afraid of the stuff till i used it.now it seems pretty harmless, but fun.just make sure everything is working properly, and don't overdo it.

When you put nitro in it, wear a fire suit and bullet proof vest. and ...
:worthless:

one thing i found was how many people don't understand the nature of nitrous oxide....thinking that it is some volatile, explosive material.

it says right on my bottle 'oxidizer-non flammable gas' and it's quite harmless unless the conditions are just right.it needs hight heat and high pressure(like that inside the combustion chamber in an engine) just to release the oxygen molecule from the nitrogen, and then needs fuel for that oxygen to bond to in the exothermic reaction that pushes the piston down.

if you spray the stuff on a lit match,it will just put the match out.

your 3.0 should be ok for a 75hp shot with the reliability maintained.
100hp might be pushing it.
175hp might show you exactly what the crankshaft looks like.......laying on the ground under the truck.

one other little detail....'nitro' gennerally refers to nitromethane, which is a fuel, whereas 'nitrous' generally refers to nitrous oxide, which is an oxidizer that needs a fuel to react with.

Put the biggest one in there you can. And then we want pics of the leftover engine coming out of the oil drain plug.

to be certain of this result i'd go with 300 or so.

i've seen intake manifolds go right through the hood when things aren't done right.

btw, here's the label on my tank(excuse the beat up appearance,it's been through a bit)

i don't know if you can read it,but the left box reads 'non flammable' and the right box 'oxidizer'

its safe if you use it properly an not go over board i would not use more then a 75 shot an using a zex kit is a good kit to use man just dont try to big of a shot an you need to make sure you have enough fuel an make sure to change spark plugs an less timing as well i belive read up on it more before you try man dont wanna see it blow up on ya

ive done my home work on it. and i didnt plan on goin over like a 35 shot. just a lil something to give me that little bit to keep up with the v8 stangs around here. any advice would be apreciated

a 35 shot would be a waste of time you need alot more to keep up with a v8 mustang,
