Hey all! Been reading posts here for years but have a few questions now so time to join in
Always liked Rangers & bought a 2008 Ranger FX4/4.0/auto from Nevada a few years ago, then brought it to the rustbelt here in Michigan. Hard to find one locally here thats not rusted out, so that was a bonus. Its up to 165K now but I have no plans on getting rid of it, thats just broken in for the good ones! It is my daily driver all year round. It needed all the general maintenance & many things fixed when I got it, but it was overall taken care of (including a semi recent repaint that isnt bad).
I'm a GM & Ford guy who grew up in a Mopar house, so I like anything domestic. Currently have the Ranger, a 2010 Mustang "Boss Clone" and a 1988 Corvette. Played with cars since I was a kid, I'm, old, now so I've done & see a lot. Been spending the last few years working on tuning stuff (HP Tuners) but the OBD1 Corvette has me wanting to dump it all & go back old school. I swapped the vette from TPI to a carb, plans were to add a Holley EFI system but now I'm playing a product from a youtuber (Thunderhead 289) called Carb Cheater thats basically a computer controlled vacuum leak..look it up if your into that stuff!
Just realized I need more Ranger pics! I spent 2 days buffing/polishing on it & never took a pic, ughh.... Here's one of it from a couple years ago in Nevada. I added steely "d" wheels & knobby tires, removed the bed rails but its basically the same outside now. Many mechanical upgrades beyond that. Also is a pic of the 2 hotrods.
