New transmission crossmember ranger 1997

I spent an hour looking around for a replacement transmission crossmember for my Ranger today. It appears they are rare and expensive with the dealership asking $250 or so. I found a less expensive option that I ordered at $160 plus $20 for shipping via UPS. Hope this can help someone:

Camelman, I bow to your google-fu.

When I was trying to find this part, the only thing I could find was an entire frame with this as a sub-part. I wound up making my own poly bushings and reman-ing the crossmember... at great pain in the ass.

DIY = 2/10, would not recommend.

Thanks Phoenix! I can't imagine how much of a pain it must have been to make those bushings.

As an update, this crossmember is working fine with no noticeable wear. I also replaced the engine mounts since both were broken into two pieces. The engine didn't shift when I revved it with the hood open to look at it with the old mounts, but when accelerating up hills in first gear the stick shift lever would swing about 20 degrees! There were even indents in the insulation under the hood from where the engine contacted! Yikes! Anyway, after the new mounts for the trans and the engine, the drivetrain is much smoother and a lot of what I thought were engine operational issues went away.
