so i bought myself a 2" lift kit. used our 2 jaw puller to get the factory keys off. put the new keys on but the puller isnt strong enough to put them back into place without bending..... is there another way to put the keys in place without buying that $100 puller? or should i really say just ditch the new keys and crank the old ones up? even if i dont use the new ones it still came with 4 shocks and rear shackles so it wont be a total waste

Never liked keys myself. Don't think you really need them for 2" of lift. Don't see where they have any benefit. That said its your truck.

Do you have all the weight off your front end, tires hanging in the air? When I pulled apart the front suspension on my truck and reinstalled it I used a floor jack with a 3/8" or 1/2" extension to push the bar back up into place.

My 99 is still using stock keys and I'm comfortably running 32s with more room to crank them. In the rear I removed the lift blocks and installed Explorer Leafs and Chevy lowering (~1.5" lift on Rangers) shackles.

Torsion keys are pointless. They don't alter the physics of what happens during the lift. The only thing that they do is let you put more stress on the bars while leaving the adjusting bolt in the same place.
