Hello folks, I used to be a member here long long ago. Now I am back. I just bought an 88 Ford Ranger XLT Extended cab 2wd. Its a bit rough and needs the trans put back in. but for 150 bucks I could not pass it up. Once I start getting to work on it I will get some pictures of the truck.

I will let yall know a little bit about me. I am a long time Oregon resident. 24 years old and I currently work on a farm. I enjoy hunting, fishing, gold prospecting, racing. Previous vehicles I have purchased are 86, 89 mustang, 89 ranger, 78 F150, 93 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, 84, 88 and two 86 Mercury Cougars. I currently still have one 86 cougar as my current driver.

Hope to get familiar with everyone here.

Welcome to TRS~!

$150 is a good price for a workable Ranger...even if you have to scrap it you should make money at this point...but working it into a running truck is more fun...

I paid $1000 for my first one and $500 for my second one (that I am currently driving) and put the two together...if the price keeps going in this way I should get my third Ranger free...

I will call it "The Charm" because three is the Charm or so the saying goes...lol

Howdy! Sounds like a sweet baby jeebus ride. Turn it into a rough and ready beast, forget restoring it.

Thanks for the welcomes. Just got back from a prehire interview. plan on making it a decent street truck

150 bucks? Not bad at all!!!

Congrats on the interview. Hope you get the job

I think it aint too bad. got the trans BACK out and pulled out the new PP and Disc to check if the flywheel was surface... its blue with some cracking lol... glad i pulled it apart.

As for the job, I go back on the 1st to meet with the commitee for an interview (union carpentry apprentice)
