Ok so I have swapped a 1999 2.5 manual into a 2004 than had 4.0 auto in it.. Everything is pretty much done minus the electrical.. I need pin outs with labels for both trucks.. The only way I can get it to run it jumping at the starter relay and providing 12 volts to the coil..

Tach works but

Oil press light stays on and I'm getting no connection with my obd2 reader

I have searched everywhere and found alot of 42 pinout but they are never labeled they just have circuit numbers.. I need to repin my plug but I need to know what's different and where to move the wires.. Any help is appreciated..

Welcome to the forum. Did you try looking in the TECH LIBRARY. There is all kinds of info on swaps there.

If that doesn't help there are a few links to sites with wiring diagrams. Here is one that many folks use.

Also try using the site search function and you can reference many past threads where guys like you have already done it before.

Thanks for the info..

I have the wiring diagrams but nothing tells me exactly what goes in which pin of the 42 pin plug.. I must have done 100+ searches looking for this info and have came up with nothing..

I hate to tell you, there isn't really a good pinout. The OEM manual doesn't give you what they run, just the wire color and circuit number.

well i think i have it figured out.. just gonna wire some power to pin 1 which is coil pwr.. evrything thing else is almost the same besides fuel cap check and some evap bs.. then gonna wire the pink starter wire through the clutch switch and add a ground to the starter relay which normally comes from pats signal from pcm which the 2.5 doesnt have.. may have a check engine light and check fuel cap light but whatever its just an old work truck..

On the earlier wiring diagrams they show the pin number for each circuit with a wire color my book only goes to 1990. The park neutral safety circuit would be different as well as the curb idle you will need the manual computer I believe and rewire the neutral safety to work with your ignition. I cant remember where I found the pin out diagram that is still the OBD-II computer correct.
