I'm going to be mounting some Bushwacker cutouts on my '89 soon and wanted an idea of what might need to be modified.

I know I'll have to run 10" wheels to get the 33" tires close to the edge of the flare.

What else might be needed?

Oh, and the truck will have a D35 front and Explorer rear axle.

Post 'em up!

Here is my 91 with 31x15.50R15 Goodyear Workhorse's on 15x8 steel wheels with 3.75" backspacing and stock suspension with a 1.5" coil spacer in the front.

Here it is with 3" body lift, 5" suspension and 35" MT's on the same wheels:

Word of advice though, the cut outs will accentuate how narrow the rear diff is. The 7.5 is really narrow, the ranger 8.8 is still too narrow IMO, (pictured above) the explorer 8.8 would be better, I've got an Aerostar 8.8 that's going in as it's wider than the exploder 8.8 and the same spline count as the Ranger 8.8 allowing me to swap the locker and gears from it.
