I plan on buying new Goodyear wrangler MT/R's with kevlar.I was wondering if anybody knows if 265/75R16 size tires will fit a stock 2009 ford ranger sport 4x4 supercab??? Or should i raise the suspension first?

That's the same size as I ran on my '05' ext cab 4x4, stock. Barely touched the plastic inner liner at full lock.

Thanks guys , im planning on trading in my 96 for the 09 , then im gonna start working on turning it into maybe a pre-runner style truck im not to sure .

I have another question , on my 96 when i start my truck it sounds similar to the sound it makes when you turn the key, when its already running . any idea what is causing this?

like the starter motor running or the fuel pump priming?

Im not to car savvy but ya i think its the starter, the truck starts right away but the starter sort of screams .

Im going to refer you to our tech library ^(above)^ so you can do a little reading and find out all the information that you need is w/in your grasp.

In my honest opinion, if you're making a prerunner ranger, stick with the 96. It's tons cheaper to get results with the older style suspension.

Sorry if im bugging , (i feel i am ) but after consulting with my local tire guy , he told me i can fit 235/75r15"s on my stock suspension. my concern is ,( if i get a 2in leveling kit for front and 2inch blocks for rear) , will the tires look too small.
