I have an 85 b2 with the 2.8 v6

I just upgraded my coolant system with a new radiator, water pump, temp sensor/sender, thermostat, and the upper and lower radiator hoses, but there are 2 others hoses I’m not sure what they’re called or their size. I’ve found a couple other hoses on rock auto related to the coolant system but not sure if they’re the right ones.

The first pic is of the hose that’s on top but comes off the backside of the thermostat housing and runs down like behind the water pump and power steering pump. The last 2 pics is of the hose underneath the engine, it connects to a metal pipe and then runs up to the bottom of the water pump where some models housed a lower thermostat. The last pic is my cart on rock auto with 2 hoses I think might be the replacement. The molded one looks like it would fit but it says it’s only 9 inches long and the one on the car looks longer.

Those are the same hoses that my '84 Ranger 2.8 used- Dayco 71218 and 70773.

Except for possibly trimming the length, I don't remember any problems with them.

Although yours is an '85, my guess is that those hoses will work.

The 84 hoses won’t work for you.

You have an updated thermostat housing used in engines built after 12/3/84. The part number for the bypass hose is E5TZ-8597-A.

The lower hose is just straight 5/8” heater hose—I believe it’s around 8” long.

do you happen to know the difference between the hose you posted and the Dayco 70773 and why it wouldn’t work? Because E5TZ-8597-A is one of the interchange numbers for the Dayco hose and they look very similar
