I have a 2004 Sport Trax with a 4.0 SOHC. I was changing the timing chains and the bolt on the right cam broke. It is the one that is left hand thread. The local dealership has sold me the wrong bolts, discovered that the one marked left hand is really right hand, and are course thread instead of fine thread like mine are. The parts manager has sent a request to Ford Motor Co trying to find the right bolts. Anyone know where I can find some correct bolts?

Welcome to the site. Good luck with your search.

Short of shopping Ford parts sites run by various dealers, you are pretty much stuck with working with the dealer you are working with now. That is a very engine specific part.

A bolt supply warehouse. Just about as pricey as ford tho.

We don't know until you ask the question. It would be best to start your own thread in an appropriate part of the forum. There are members here with Sport-trac experience and there are members who are certified Ford technicians. You will most likely get an answer.

We have a place near my town that sells only bolts. If its got threads, they have it. Maybe there's a similar store near you, though I am pretty sure these guys do a lot of non local sales as well if you want to call them.
