Hello I am new to this site and I'm actually doing this for my dad. He has an 88 Ranger show truck with a 351 Windsor Engine from a '72 Mustang. He needs Blockhugger headers to fit without moving the steering. He has hooker Blockhugger headers now but they have discontinued that part. Does anyone know of a header that could replace that hooker header?

Thank you

Depending on your motor mounts. Tri-y headers for a 65-70 mustang will fit. That’s what I had in my 90 ranger. Using 95 mustang mounts. Cleared the steering by 1/8 an inch.

Tri-y

Thank you so much he's been trying to figure this out for a few months now. That 1/8th inch is about all the room there is now so it'll be perfect. Again thanks.

They will need work to fit with a 164T bellhousing. Fit nice with 157t or smaller though.

Even then some tri-ys need some work. I had to pull the PS ram and cut a tab off the bell to get the tri-ys to fit my mom's Mustang correctly.

interesting. ive run a few sets of tri-y headers. even on the 164t bell ive never had that much of an issue. maybe that brand of header was at fault?
