Need help BW 1354

My transfer case went out on my truck and I am having a hard time finding manual version at any salvage yards in denver.

The truck is a 1994 4.0L 4x4 manual tcase

SO, question is the electric one the same, and if so is it possible to swap out the electric motor for the manual linkage?

answer's--no and no. There's usually a couple of 1354 manuals for sale in the for sale section. I have a spare too, $150, but you have to figure out how to get it to you.

metalmacguyver, I broke the chain, the forks, the gears, and alltogether destroyed the thing. Im trying to find a used one b/c I dont want to spend $650 on a new one.

If your front case half is still good, you may be able to rebuild yours using parts from an electric 1354.

Manual 1354s are pretty rare. They (along with the manual hubs) were a "delete" option for the standard electric crap. Maybe 1 in 50 trucks (guessing) was fitted with the manual stuff, and is why they're so hard to find.
