2.3L ('02-'11) NEED ADVICE/HELP!!! low compression on cylinder 3 :(

For grins and giggles, try Valvoline Protect and Restore. If it is stuck rings you are dealing with, that will clean out the ring grooves to loosen them up. The trouble is, it will take at least four oil change intervals as per manufacture recommendations, so, many thousands of miles.
New to online forums and whatnot, so if I do something wrong let me know lol. I can attest to the Valvoline though, Ive ran it through my motor and from what I understand Limas like mine like to build sludge. You are right about it needing multiple changes for it to take effect, and do use a quality filter each time because if there is crap lodged in it then you want it caught rather than suspended. No promises itll work but its definitely worth a shot. I work at an O'Reilly and we do run oil and filter deals so yes its pricier than other oils, its really not bad if you find a deal. I've seen all kinds of reviews on R&P and it definitely works. Lubricates well and definitely helps piston rings.

This is really tempting, 2 people on this post suggesting it to me and I did my own reading and it seems to be highly regarded. I'm not in a huge hurry to pull my motor because i do have 2 other trucks to drive in the mean time. I might just give this a try and continue driving it.

I will say when i pulled my valve cover it was very very clean, like previous owners kept up on oil changes, and I do mine every 5k with full synthetic. I guess piston rings can still get stuck even with good OCI's?
