Ok I have a 2000 ranger 4x4 with I believe a 4r44e auto tranny and 31x10.5's. I need to know a basic run down of how this thing is supposed to work under good performance OD included. I have never owned a vehicle with an electronically controlled tranny before so I don't know whats normal and whats not. It jus seems when im cruising through town between 35 and 40 I should not be at 1800 rpm, it seems like its holding the gear to long. I just want to know what is supposed to happen while normal driving conditions are taking place. So far the tranny fluid is pink and not burned I changed it and the filter myself about 10k ago, it shifts fine into drive and reverse takes about 1-2 seconds to engage. Thank you in advance for any info.
