Narrowed D60 front axle and Sterling 10.25 rear axle builds

Looks like I will move the lower shock mount outwards a bit and limit strap it.

Ideally now, looking at it a 12" shock would have been perfect!

Got the shocks aired up tonight and its standing on its own.

Thats the plan!

The TTB set up lasted me 7 years of solid wheeling, up until I put the locker in the front.

The 1 tons with a 38-40" tire should handle it like a champ!

mine lasted many years with the TTB and did really well.....it's just that it had a pension for busting Warn hubs......on 32's:annoyed:

with the 1 tons and 39.5's the only issues so far have been drive shafts....but I think I have those licked now....we will see though:D:D

So in essence, It was all down hill after I sold you that locker!?!

Same with me, the locker was nothing but trouble!!!

Keep up the good work.

It wasn't that bad. I was busting hubs and running out of replacements. Never broke a shaft just spun the u joints in them so i had to start fully welding them in. Loved the traction for sure!

I never broke anything either....I just egged out every shaft, and toasted every u-joint up there in the span of 1 year from install and had to tack weld the joints in place.....hopefully it all holds until I do my HP D44 swap (no more automatic lockers for me...ARB will be next). :headbang:

The additional traction was awesome though for sure.

Well moved the lower shock mounts out as far as I could which did give a better angle on the shock for better resistance to body roll and unloading on side hills. It still did not give me enough clearance on the shock body to the frame on the passenger side under full droop.

I just ordered enough rod ends to redo my steering set up and run everything right to the passenger knuckle instead of the inverted T I have now. This will lengthen my drag link over 5" and will allow me to make my track bar roughly 6" longer. It will also put the drag link more parallel to the ground so the track bar will sit flatter as well. This should solve all my issues and give me a better handling truck over all in the end.

Side note....also got a gently used PSC hydro assist kit coming!

Beat ya here too!!!!!

16" 32 bolt DIY beadlocks from TMR Customs, and 7/8" hiems to redo my steering and get the angles flatter/longer/better to combat the binding and limiting of my travel I was experiencing with the tie rod ends.

You can see the new drag link angle and length compared to the track bar angle, looking much better. Drag link and track bar will end up being 8-9" longer than what they were before.

Side shot of the truck at what will be ride height. The cut fenders make it look tall.....might be dropping the 38's and getting some 42's.....That should fill up the wheel arches a bit better..
