Hello, while waiting for my ignition switch, I listed my wires to try to understand this wiring, and there is not much correct compared to the 1988 wiring, I have never changed the wires so I think it is original, it is not easy to find your way around with the same diagram, so when it is not the same it becomes a headache.
Could someone tell me how to test the different grounds of the pcm?

So, I’m gonna move this to the electrical…

Factory EVTM is the most accurate wiring diagrams, most of what you find in the Haynes and Chilton manuals is about the equivalent of a toddler’s crayon drawings, incomplete and virtually useless.

Also, I have no way of knowing if the wiring colors changed between US vehicles and the rest of the world.

Ground wires can be a huge problem, I’ve even seen them corrode to junk inside the insulation with no visible damage. Usually the ones that are most affected are the ones in the engine bay, the main grounds. I generally replace them with welding cable that I make into wires myself and replace the dinky 10ga ground to the radiator/core support from the negative post with 4 gauge as well and clean the connections where the ground wires bolt then cover the connections with something to prevent corrosion.

Thanks for the reply, I don't think the wiring has changed compared to the American wiring, the Bronco II was sold very little here in Europe so I don't think Ford would have changed the wiring especially since we have almost the same pollution standards, in addition the pcm is well known in the USA but if I have time, I will make a table with my wiring on one side and the wiring of the 88 diagram on the other

If you need some better diagrams, I may be able to help you out
