My old beater 88 Ranger

I would think hes talking about pulling the egr valve and making a block off plate, removing the egr tube from the manifold and putting a pipe plug in the hole (youll have to drill and tap it for the plug since the threads are metric i believe), cap off all vaccum lines at the manifold that go to the DPFE sensor and any other sensors. the only improvement youre likely to get is that there will be less shit in the way if you need to work on something later down the road and your vaccum lines will be simplified due to a lack of them. i did this to my 2.3l and my 3.0l, but both have ECUs that are set up for non egr equipped engines.

Thanks ForOffRoadDriving, I think I'll just leave it. BTW I have been following your thread and man that is a nice build. I almost wanted to rip off the front clip of mine and do all the unedrhood detail you did,,looks awsome.
And thank you too 1988RangerXLT, I really like it too. Hope I don't screw it up...lol

Finally got some good weather. My Son In Law came over and helped me get the engine back in the old beater yesterday. It runs like a top.
