I gonna pull the engine again and replace the freeze plugs. While its out I am gonna clean up the engine compartment and fix this ugly wireing.

Gonna clean all this up tommorrow, along with the engine. and replace freeze plugs

Clean up started

I installed the freeze plugs, and shot it down good with de=greaser. Cleaned on the engine compartment.
Will get the wireing done up today, and clean up some more. May start back in with the engine.

How do the valve cover gaskets look? Mine are leaking like a bitch. If they look iffy, replace them now while you have the engine out and accessible.

Valve covers aren't leaking, but I could detect a seep on one bank. I plan on replaceing them along with the plenium gaskets. I noticed a stain of sorts between the plenium and the intake along the gasket. Not sure what caused it, but figured I would replace the gasket anyway. May be sucking a little air.

Replaced the Plenium gasket and valve cover gaskets today and finished clean-up on engine. Have to replace the gaskets from the overhaul gasket kit I got for the other 2.9.
Ready to go back in tommorrow if the weather is warm. No heat in the shop. Here is what it looks like so far.

Didn't get much done yesterday. Got some of the wireing cleaned up. Probably won't get anything done today.

Man,,I'm slacking off. All I got done yesterday is to paint a few parts. I did get my practise door for the roll on paint job. I rolled on one coat yesterday, but it was to late to do another one. I gotta get motivated.

What EGR stuff are you talking about Dusty? I'm not sure what stuff I can pull without confuseing the computer. And why should I pull it? Will it improve the HP?MPG?
