My New House & Workshop

Well who would want to do it for free?

When I worked at a hardware store we had a counter thing you pulled wire/rope thru that measured the length automatically.

While you are having fun digging, put yourself a decorative post out there and install a motion light on it so it lights up when you pull up at night. You can feed it right out of the box with 3/4 conduit. Or use that flex that you are planning to take down and use it to feed the new pole light/protector.

I have a ring security light / camera by my back door that comes on when it detects motion and a solar one on the side of the shop. I plan on adding a light to the side of the shop to replace the solar one.

That flexible conduit has a junction box along its path and there's nothing behind it. I thought maybe something came out the back and into the house, but no.

There's no knockouts on the top probably because it's an outdoor breaker panel. All the knockouts are on the bottom. Cleaning this scrappy install will be a later project.

Sometime down the road when you want to feed out of the top of the panel, you can buy one of these. You can see that bump in the top middle of the panel now. You unscrew that and screw this piece on(hub). You just have to specify what size thread you want. You can probably easily find 3/4 threads, and use a short piece of 3/4 conduit. You need to figure out what brand panel you have also. Some of the hubs have 4 bolts, some 2 bolts. The below is a 2 bolt square D.
