My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.


Nice, I'm waiting to see how my 3.55s will do, but I'm starting to wish I would have just gone back to the 3.08s that were in it stock. Axle seals for a 8.8 are a bitch, EVERY SINGLE parts store will sell you seals and bearings for a 31 spline axle if you tell them you have an 8.8, its happened to me twice. You have to just ask for seals for a 7.5!

I wish I had known. I knew about the different splines but wasn't thinking at the time. When I took them back the guy said "You have a 7.5" I told him no I have an 8.8 you just gave me the seals for the wrong 8.8. I discovered the origional 8.8 had 9 inch brakes.. For some reason I thought they all had 10 inch.. The new 8.8 came out of an Ext cab so I got lucky! For some reason parts are cheaper for 10"....
 
i bought new shoes for mine about 5 months before I tore it all apart, they asked me if I had 9 or 10 inch drums, I had no idea so I got 9", which was obviously wrong.

I fixed all that by switching to 11.6" mustang discs though.

I'd like to do the Mustang disc conversion but I am happy with it as is.. I am gonna do the front disk upgrade with Cobra dual piston calipers one day... May pickup some of the parts next JY visit...
 
Multi I may have to hold off a few weeks on that parts run. My Air Conditioner on the house is officially dead, can't have that. I'm going to try to get it done this upcoming weekend if I can get a unit in time. I also got a line on a late 90s 5.0 Exploder for $500. It has 150k+ miles, and has been rolled. Owners brother (who I have worked with for years) says it runs and doesn't smoke. I'm still interested in making the run but may have to postpone it a little.

Made a "Cobra" tach out of a Sunpro tach... I think it came out pretty good... Not exactly what I was wanting.. Was going for a Shelby Tach.. I'm happy even though!!!

I have to agree with Colin. looks badass but very clean at the same time.
 
Find Carol Shelby and see if you will sign the dash or visor, that will do it.

cobra is a shelby name, not a ford name, so the tach is more of a shelby thing than anything...
