My dog had a seizure

my buddy had a boxer that was seizure prone. if he got too hyper, he would stop and look right through you. then fall down, stay down for a couple minutes, then get up seemingly paralyzed from the front legs back. buddy didnt have a job at the time, and dog was gettin worse, so we put him down. hope yours has a better outcome

My fiancee's chiuaua has them all the time. He is still doing fine. Next time you go to the vet mention it and see what they say, but chances are he/she will be fine.

My parents had a dog who had seizures occasionally. When they were over she was fine, but once she had one while eating and a piece of food got lodged in her throat. I happened to be there at the time and got it out, but it was a close call -- her tongue had turned black. Just watch the dog while it's eating.

A little off topic......but.....

This has been a very bad year for dogs. My best buddy just lost his cocker spaniel to some type of kidney problem. He just forked out a bunch of money to get his St. Bernard's leg fixed, only to find out she has bone cancer, and it's too late to reverse.

I hate it when this stuff happens to animals.

We had a dog that had seizures. Be careful around them when they are having seizures they could bite you and not know they did it. It's usually best to let it run it's course but I'd talk to a vet.

my first dog was a black lab/german shepherd mix.i never knew what was wrong with him but he started having seizures that got closer and closer together and coulden't breathe.being a poor kid on a ranch in the sticks i decided to put the puppy down.it was hard to do but what do you do when the vet is 30 miles away and there are other animals that could use the money(horses,etc.)
