Guy parked beside was making fun of me.. I just said why should I use the entire parking space? I had another 4 foot or so of space left lol

getting ready for your swap?

No more TTB? Shame on you.

:icon_twisted:

Looking forward to the swap.

i'm doing the research stage of it.. seeing how much money i need to put up
what order do i need to mount up the stuff to make it all flow right?

i need to make/buy/out source long arms. i'll be making my brackets for them. i might make some long arms with johnny joints. i'll mirror Rusty's brand name from a buddy's jeep.

after arms i need trac bar and bracket i guess...

then coils to give me the ride height i need (idk what coils yet, something flexy!!)
then do steering, brakes, so on..

i have a few lists of stuff from different people.. i'm working on it.

Yep, research is very important. I searched for info for a year before I even started buying stuff. Then it was another 6mo of buying before I started...

i just kinda dove in. you might want the axle sitting in place when you build your longarm's if your mirroring rusty's. my upper's are adjusted in to the max and my caster is negligible. but there is NO more adjusting without shortening my upper's. however it should all be curred once i swap in the 44, the ballistic lower axle bracket's are slightly longer and center the spring over the axle (v.s. in front). and the upper's i can weld on where i want (within reasone) i recommend getting spring's before trac bar give you a better idea of what angle's steering and trac bar are gonna be and what clerance's you'll have. easier to move a tracbar the a spring.

plan is-- sucks, but it's gonna have to be after may... b/c of school. but i want the parts by may. as much as i can have at least.

but on the arms-- mirror the rusty's (maybe), may have a local shop make them. Spyder Offroad in Horn Lake, MS. does great work.. anyways.

so if i make my arms creeper joints are $37 a piece and weld in bungs are $11 a piece. the DOM tubing is EXPENSIVE!!! that's gonna kill me. i don't know if i'm gonna buy a trac bar or make one?

i don't know what to do for steering? WJ knuckles with crossover? i'm not even real sure what that means... makes me think i need more research..

WJ is a Grand Cherokee model....

nice start on a parts pile.....:icon_thumby:

Yeah i know the WJ is the grand. But the knuckles from it can be used for crossover steering. Or something like that.... Lol

guys if anyone has sas stuff for a b2, let me know.
i'm looking at needing arms, arm brackets, trac bar, trac bar bracket, brake stuff, steering stuff for the d30 and so on..

I don't have any problem with the axle, can't wait to see the swap done buddy

hey you came! lol. i know, i figured that. you didn't go off about. you did what i said in a different thread that i wish people would do just say "hey you know the d35 is bolt in and strong(er)". so you're fine by me!

just for others reading and thinking the d30 is a waste---
in all reality i've seen what the d30's will do, and i feel that its right for my rig. i wanted away from ttb mainly. the specs on the 2 ain't that much different. i've been surprised at the d30 in some jeeps locally of what they have done and not break. and i'm not looking for a dedicated trail rig. i'm only looking to run 33's or maybe 35's, and mostly a dd/ww type build. not a rig that i wanna go tear up you know? the body is to solid to go beat it up on some rocks... i've seen jeeps run 35's locked w/ 4.88's going up level 5's at superlift. even if some of those jeeps have alloys, its still gonna work for me-- probably stock! lol, and if i do break it i'll either put alloys in it or d44 it later. but i'm gonna try it!

This pic makes me want to do something with the tail lights. But not those UgLy clear ones... Not really thinking the jeep method of flush mounting LED's either. Idk... Guess I'll just forget it and focus on the axle swaps!

I understand where your comin from my best friend has a cherokee4x4 we converted. And the only thing that goes bad in his are seals and the ca bushings, so its not entirely bad. And with your dd/ww idea I think 33's are good. I love my b2 and wouldn't go any bigger mainly cause I'm a fat guy and have fun getting in it now and my fiance is 5'3" lol. I will be doin the d35 swap and 8.8. Today I'm welding my 7.5 to see how it feels if I get around to it! And ima start 2 build threads.
