My Bronco 2

It has a shroud on it.

And yes the trans still uses the radiator as a cooler plus the aux cooler. So the trans is adding heat to the radiator.

Unless your fan clutch isn't working right, then your fan was doing its best to cool your engine.

Btw, nice pics.

Yea ive seen people have to run a bolt through the clutch to make sure its always spinning. Personally id just put and electric fan on. I like that i can shut mine off in deep water or leave it running with the truck off if it is starting to get hot. (What would make it super slick is an electric water pump o i can leave it on as well like a drag car)

I did that once with the bolt and the fan on the explorer... I was actually headed back from Indiana, July, 2:00 am... explorer kept overheating and I found out the clutch was bad on the fan.. I had a drill and a nice Lag Bolt... See where I'm going? :icon_rofl: I drove it back to Memphis that way :icon_thumby:

anyway...back to the B2:
the B2 is getting some new parts... had to spend some "upgrade" money on parts.

Fuel pump and fuel filter for now. It quit on me today, I think the pump is getting hot and quitting. Even with the pump wired straight to the battery (hot wired, trying to drive it home) it still quit. After it sits a bit, it'll crank and run for awhile....then start it all over again. Same problem I had before, I thought the wires were not connecting good, but after hardwiring; I know that the wiring is not the issue.

yeah I do some trails... why wouldn't I? lol

anyway.. recently the temp has been higher than I want it for daily driving. Got a pressure tester and put on it.. shows no leaks.. then tested the cap, yep... the cap was bad.

replaced the cap and now it runs here instead of between the O and R.

hood vents installed.
put them where the braces would let me/ where the hottest part of the hood was after running and idling.

do you have any pic of this open?? I can not open it =(
Swapped OHC's.. Well I used my internals bc I knew they worked I just needed to face of it since mine was broken and wouldn't hold a lens in the right side. I bought this thing a year or so ago from someone on here and never put it on and just found it Saturday so.... Now it's on!

I have an extra somewhere apart.

You have to slide something skinny in the lights and unclip the light lenses CAREFULLY. Then unscrew if from the roof

thank you very much, had tried to remove it before I could not!! :dunno:

it's not hard.. just take something skinny and flat, like a small screwdriver, push up in that little "opening" on the map light lens, get it unclipped... once those are out you can pop the cover off and see all the screws and wiring.

JUST BE CAREFUL.. You will probably break the clips for the map lights. Trust me, that's why I have an old one at home.

Did a Harbor Freight ATV cargo basket in the rear for a tie down

Ever need more light in the cargo area of your rig?
Well, I got tired of not seeing my tool box and crap so...
here's what I'm doing..
see these lights?

yeah, it's as wide as my cargo area roof. LED's.. 12volt, BRIGHT.. I got it wired up and will be mounting it to the roof later. I got lucky and the B2 has a cargo light that is wired to the door switch AND has a switch on it. So I tapped into those wires and can use it with the lightgate open or closed (Idk why I'd need it with the gate closed lol). The stock light is a little 168 bulb so VERY little light.

These lights are awesome. I recommend them for anyone who needs more light and has an area that wide to mount something.
I even recommend them for under cabinet lighting in the garage/shop.. you can get a 12 volt wall adapter.. I think it'd be sweet.

That's a good price for the light bar.
