My Bronco 2

yeah i saw your brackets above, didnt know you were replacing the brackets...guess i missed it. those VMS ones are stout as hell.

that one VMS bracket weights as much as the axle :icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

yeah i know

where do you buy them? i did a search for them on google, but all that came up was some thread from broncoii-ranger.com.

i did stumble upon copykats build thread for his b2 though, i havent looked through it in a lonnnnnng time. it's one badass build

I found this one from one of the guys here...
"Bronco Ben" is his name on facebook... I don't remember his name on here right now lol

Aussie Locker Installed in Carrier.
Axle housing cleaned up some more....only to find out i don't have any primer at home...

oh here's a pic, don't pay attention to the gear pattern tho, I'm gonna clean it off and try it again once its torqued down in the housing.

after the shafts are completely painted I'm gonna be changing out all the joints...just didn't wanna get paint in the openings for the joints and have to convince them to fit... so the old joints are keeping the openings clean lol.

did you at least take the c clips out before you painted them on? would have been easier to take the joints out first, then put just the caps back in...plus would have given you better access to the inside of the joint. Youre likely to scratch them all up taking the caps out...but not that it really matters...

Yeah after talking to a couple others I think I'm tear them down and spray them again so I can get inside easier. Clips are out all but one shaft. Forgot to take them off one.

Yeah so my "great plan" might not have been so great... Thanks Nate lol. I'm just glad I'm making some progress.

Well started to rip into the b2 front stuff yesterday; before doing so I went to fill up the explorer..... Well..... The explorer needs balljoints, front brakes, and wheel bearings before I can rear my b2 down. I started stuff this morning on it before going to a lift party for a military guy. Gotta help out a military man when I can.

Still been working on the explorer...had some issues with rockauto and getting the right parts w/ ac lines and stuff. went ahead and decided to finish all the nit pick stuff with the ex, so the B2 still waits in line.

I did install the Cobra 75 in it today instead of the Cobra 19. Since i already have the 2 meter ham under the dash I like the idea of the CB being easily hidden/removed since it's a trail only deal. If you've ever used 2 meter, you'll understand lol.

Also, went thru my B2 tool box and took out all the duplicate tools except stuff like 10, 13mm stuff.. I took 12 pounds of stuff out of my tool box hahahaha.

alright, it's about that time for the d35 swap with many other small issues fixed. Will be driving the explorer for awhile probably.

before pics:
notice how much the front has sagged since I did the RC lift....

sway bar will be mounted in stock location, with JKS quick disco's
superrunner steering
xj coils
vms brackets
oil leaks fixed
so on... so forth.

pic of the rear, shows that I need to find someone better to balance my tires, think i'll take them off and take them to a buddy's shop to have him do it.

want a pic of them off? I just took them off.
I'm gonna copy your crossmember, guess we're even huh? :icon_rofl:

only thing I would recommend with the sliders is 3 legs instead of just 2, and bigger footprints on the frame. Mine only have 2 legs with 2 bolts each. not my best idea lol

think I'm gonna use the square and round "outer" pieces, just remake my legs and frame plates.. mine rattle against the fender bolts, that bolt in the rear of the fender is gonna cause you some pain.. lol
