My Bronco 2

I gotta extend my RA's, make my link mounts for the flex joints and mount those up, change out the one pivot bracket, replace the pivot bushings, then bolt it all up with the built d35 with manual hubs, using the xj coils (coil bucket mods if needed), throw on the super runner steering, and get an alignment.

What am I missing??

i was working at autozone at the time, so i went ahead and replaced all the ball joints since i got a discount.

ball joints are tight. seem to be anyways. i don't mind doing that later.. after i do my d35 swap i'm gonna do a lifetime alignment at Firestone so.... yea lol

actually i didnt do all of my ball joints. i forgot Kyle M. gave me his old knuckles that had newish ball joints in them. i think i only did 1 of them.

just dont let firestone do the ball joints, on my lunch break just now i was looking at a receipt from when meineke did my pass side upper/lower BJ's and it was $360.xx!!!!!! holy hell, i forgot i let them do that. that's a $60 job plus 2-3 hours of work. makes me sick!!! lol

if you want to see how it feels to drive in a locked front end, just before you get ready to do the swap, drop the d28, weld it up, and then put it in just long enough to drive it around the block, that should give you the idea of what a full time locker is like and it won't cost you anything but a little time, and the diff oil.

Robert

i'm not worried about that..ive drove a few rigs w/ front lockers. some of them jeeps with live axles.

and i'll never let a shop do something like ball joints for me. if my oldest bro still worked at Meineke, i'd do my own alignment again... i just don't have access to a machine anymore. and the boss at the semi shop won't buy one! lol

Now to copy SVT's sport track v8 swap and do that to your moms.

nah... i'm not messing w/ this one..

i got to much stuff going on w/ my b2 right now for sure lol.

so our fleet at home right now (remember, i still live w/ my parents):

anyways, back to my b2's world. i took the trans pan and valve body back off today, going back to the stock valve body setup instead of that "corrective shift" crap... will have it back together in the morning. gotta do some homework now and class tonight.

i so wanted to find a sporttrack with a smoked engine or trany to sas and v-8

drove around in a locked explorer today for a little bit.. one of my buddies has aussie front and rear on a 2 door explorer.... decided the locker didn't bother me, even in 4wd..

shane at spyder offroad made me a deal on the aussie, should be in by this weekend.
lol... yeah. will be aussied front and rear.

providing i'm happy w/ the shifting and all after tomorrow, the focus will turn to the d35, I HAVE TO GET THIS DONE BY APRIL 20TH. lol

Simplest thing to do is go manual...I know you dont want to do that but I wanna say there are less things that could go wrong with one. If I gambled on JY one, it would be a manual.
