Could it be? Could I have a super runner steering kit?

Looks like it.

I'm just anxious to get it on. If it wasnt more work and an extra alignment-- id probably throw it on the d28! Lol

I'm getting enough parts around to be really anxious on this swap.

Xj coils
VMS drop bracket
Super runner steering kit
Manual hubs
F250 shock towers
Dom for ext radius arms
And probably more..

I got my shock towers from bronco graveyard. They were less than 20 each I think.

I got mine from a ford place in Indiana I think.. $13 a piece I believe. All parts listed above is what I already have.

I still need to get some, maxed out my front suspension the other day and my shocks were the stops.

will do.

you can find the right stuff, used! at good prices. just start looking, and accumalating the parts NOW. buy it as you find it. i know where another super runner kit is that just needs TRE's :icon_thumby: i could get you in touch w/ him. idk if it needs all the TRE's or just the ones at the steering knuckles. :icon_confused:

i'll try to update stuff w/ links on anything i buy new also
and try to find one of these VMS brackets. the blue one showen on the previous page. its SOLID

I just saw the ford 8N. My bro in law is fixing one for my dads friend since it decided to spin a bearing and trow a rod through the block. Went to michigan to get a new block and turns out that when it was cleaned up and cylinder re-board, it wasnt done straight and when the engine was being tested it split the crankshaft in half. Needless to say sometime has passed and another block was found and being used and hopefully will be up and running by next week after being out of service for almost 2 years.

I have been pickin up a few parts when i get good deals on them (got a set of duff arms for cheaper than i could build my own :)), im just impatient!!!! do you plan on locking the 35???

not as of now... plan on it being open. wheeling it like that for awhile. for one, i won't have the money. for 2, i've heard a lot of people talk about lunchbox lockers in the front when in 4low and how it wants to stay locked, and turning is a pain-- so a selectable locker is recommended, maybe? idk. it'll be open as of now. if legoms or someone offers me an awesome deal on one, i might pick up a lunchbox later on. who knows.

I'll hook a brother up fo sho. But I can't specify how long you might have to wait :icon_confused:

In an ideal world, I would regear and replace my Lock-Rite with a Aussie, or full on ARB sometime between end of Dec and end of Janurary. But I can't say for sure....I have too many hobbies and I may not get to it for a while :icon_twisted:

That being said, I don't like not having 4wd as of the moment (b/c 488's in the rear and 3.73's in front)....

If my old 8.8 sells (which has a powertrax no-slip 20 spline version) I would go get it geared and then sell you my Lock-Rite. But no such luck, it has been on craigslist for 3 wks now  It could happen over night, or it might no happen for a while lol. I hate waiting thats for sure!

let me know when you get ready to sale if you do.. i wish you could go ahead and sas now b/c i could still use ext radius arms lol. but those won't be hard to make, i'm just gonna get some currie johnny joints or the ones from parts mike and extended them w/ the DOM i already have, it'll be easy.

main thing i need now is gears. hoping to score at the JY friday morning. that and time lol. i still gotta go get my axle from Pontotoc. if its cheap enough and i find a d35 w/ 4.10's at the JY, i may just get it there, i'll have spare shafts, hubs, and everything that way! lol. but idk yet... i think the front pig will cost me around $50 if i can find one, the whole axle will run around $120 probably

i'll lay the parts out for my axle swaps, and you come do the labor! i have everything i need to mount the axle up, minus the johnny joints. but think i'm about to order those now.

like i said, i'm a senior at ole miss business school..its rough man. most of my "free" time is actually homework or studying.. so its not very free. i'm trying tho. going either tomorrow or saturday to check for gears. i would like to have it all done by oct 22nd as that's the fall run at superlift for my local offroad club. but idk if that'll happen.

You have plans to run the superrunner as is?

Or you gonna ton it and cut off that stupid ridiculous non-replaceable TRE and tap a new home for a replaceable one? :D

I have the reamer/tap if you need them let me know...Wouldn't cost you much to rent them :icon_hornsup:

Lol....I can relate to not having enough time and money to play with your hobbies. I'm a ME student and have very little of both to do my fun stuff like wheeling, fishing, camping, woodworking, welding, legos, xbox, moddin my truck, AR15 builds, RC cars and shooting. Not enough time or money!
