My Bronco 2

so, i'm checking on some belltech 6400 like shackles for the rear. wanna get rid of my add a leaf, i gotta see what i'm gonna have to do to make my rear level after i get the new coils up front.. hopefully just use the blocks and shackles, and make it a smoother ride.

might look into some 63's... idk yet

Nice, i am running the 6400s with a 1" block. However, i think my leafs are out of a YJ or something. They were free and are super soft. I need stiffer springs to drive down the road. Mine rear end just starts to axle hop under load past 40 mph. I love the 6400s tho

Doing a chevy 63 inch swap isnt as easy on a BII as it is on a ranger, the body mounts get in the way but have seen it done though.

I know.. Might go find some good yota or YJ leafs. Use my top leaf with eyes if I have to. Make me a bastard pack. Ill get it worked out

Toyota leaves would probably be too short. Ex leaves are the best all around junkyard leaves IMO. 2" shackle, 3" block and you'll be fine.

right now i'm looking at 2" shackle and 2" block (that's what came w/ my lift) so if i need more lift, i'll find a larger block or something.

since you're back Dustin, what's your opinion on your new steering vs the superrunner kit? i found one used.. unmodified. would be about the same money either way, maybe a little more on the used superrunner.

PM'd you back. And I wasn't "away". I've still been lurking, just not posting as much.

What do you mean Am I gonna do this? Yep. 8.8 swap coming soon now that the explorer is painted and the RV is sold. As long as everything stays running and fixed. Mine gets upgraded. Rear first. Bc it'll be simple. Then front. I gotta go get my front axle from pontotoc and then start building it. Still need gears, brackets, and steering. I'll use the stock steering IF I HAVE TO. till I can afford or find what i want. The guy that offered me the super runner never PM'ed me back the last time. I have some templates over at a friends shop seeing if he can make the brackets for me and for how much. I'll let y'all know the price on them. Hopefully it's cheaper than skyjacker stuff.

I got my battery from a farm store for $40 and has a 60 month warrenty on it too and is more then enough to crank my engine over and run a few things too.

my main battery is a 1000 ca, 800 cca, and 160 reserve... came from Advanced auto for $75. our farm stores are crazy priced...

My local farm store has everything I need, its my favorite place to shop. Its basiclly my walmart.

well for some reason all of ours think they sale gold.....

oh well. anyways. um... my update for today???? lets see, i put another $50.00 fill up in it for the week. oh well.

i'm still working on locating some gears and stuff. gotta go get w/ the guy this week about the ttb drop brackets see what he can figure out as far as him building them.

also need to order some Johnny Joints for the extended radius arms. i need DOM for that to i guess. think i'll order that from RuffStuff, its just as cheap as the only place in memphis that carrys it.

You could always go with the Stonecrusher ones like me. $200 aint bad.

Im having a hard time picturing what the extended arms are going to look like....care to show us your drawing skills on what you plan on doing....or you can use google too.

Is it cheaper to ge the DOM tube shipped to you or you go and get it yourself?
