just search around on here, there's lots of pics where people have done it, replace the tube w/ some longer tube (i was just told i actually have the DOM i need!!!!!! dad found me some for FREE!!)

and then at the frame, in the end of the tube will be a Johnny joint, and a link mount on the frame for it.

edit: here's some w/ the joints http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27792

Ya I would go with johnny joints at the end, greaseable ones too, just beacuse they can flex more.

Most def do the 4.0 swap. That's the best mod I've ever done!

x2 for the 4.0 power, drivability and reliability were greatly increased after swapping from the old 2.8

did 1 last winter and it was alot of work to get it done correctly but it was cake work.
went from a 2.8 auto truck with to a 4.0 with a M5OD. and the donor was a ranger so it was a little more difficult than using an explorer. amazing how alot of things just about bolted into place

from a 2.9 to a 4.0 is super easy... and i didn't even swap the dash! i still rock the first gen dash of the b2

Atleast someone is keeping the gen1 dash.

the gen2 dash that everyone swaps with a 4.0 looks like crap.

i don't like the gen 2 dash in a 1st gen truck...

but honestly, like i've said before-- i didn't know TRS existed when i did my 4.0 swap. i wish i did, it would have made it easier. i didn't know that it is recommended to swap dashes to... i just knew me and my dad could figure out the swap. i didn't know others have done it before. i just thought i have a donor rig, w/ a motor i love, and i have a b2 that needs a 4.0!! lol...

then i found TRS one day and my life has been changed... severely

I found out about trs and my truck hasnt been the same since.

most of my mods coming soon are gonna go by a lot smoother b/c of reading the tech library and reading other people's builds.

I already had plans for my truck before I found TRS. TRS just helped everything move faster and easier...

i'm getting excited again for these axle swaps... its just so dang hot here in MS. its 96 right now w/ a heat index of about 102. yesterday the heat index was 119

so.. what about superlift brackets??? they replace both brackets completely right?

I had a set of rough country brackets that inever used. They wernt the best but after some reinforcing and a little welding they were ok.

i am using RC stuff now, i aint hurt it. i just want a real drop bracket instead of the dang drop plate... the plate aint good on a d35 pig.
