if your changing shock towers why wouldnt you change the shocks at the same time? its like another 50$ (ish) for far better gain. top stud shocks suck...
Because I paid $100 for what I have now and dont want to drop that kind of money for dual eye hole ended ones. I actually love how my front rides and goes over bumps and whatnot, I wouldnt change it and think that my coil/shock combo is perfect.
At the time I didnt know about getting extended shock towers off an f-250 and that it would have helped or I would have done it at the time. So thats why Im just going to make due with what I have. Plus my truck is still a budget build but saftey isnt sacrificed and money is spent where appropriate to maintain saftey.
Daym them some tall coils...how tall are they now and how much lift do thaty give to what? Mine are XJ 6.5in lift ones and they didnt look nearly as tall. I think mine were 21 inches uncompressed when I got them used.
Don't tell me that guys. They don't have any info on them... I can only go by what James said they are. They are a tad over 22" sitting there uncompressed
Damn 22"? My 8" Syjacker coils were only 21". But they probably wouldn't compress near as much as yours would under my truck. Pretty sure my heavy a$$ front end would have those (XJ?) coils bottomed out
Its gonna depend on everything else too, not just the coils. Shock travel and radius arm length. I think I am still limited by my radius arms. I have the Stonecrusher extensions, but they still are very long when compared to the Duff arms.
