Is there any special way I should check the fuel pump? Did you say these things get variable voltage going to them?
reset the computer would be my guess, but I'd trust Bobby way more obviously

hmmm. Nice wiring harness. Good luck.I have yet to look deep into the jag setup. It may be a fixed voltage if your lucky.
I am a bit busy....trying to keep from total hair loss..... I have a tool when I get done with this train wreck I can send that may make it easier ...
I have to get this done as much as possible before the 22nd as I have to mobilize a crew for revenue work.
This is the after work work.

xj8 x350 4.2 NA fuel pressure regulator - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
Thanks for looking that up.
When Bobby was here we were looking it over and noticed that the platic fitting for the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator sensor was broke, so I replaced that sensor with a new one.
It's to cold to work today. When it warms back up I need to pull the rear seat up and check the connections at the fuel pump, figure out how to test the pressure, and then order a new pump if everything else checks out.
in texas? im guessing 60- which is what we had here in ohio a couple of days ago. Its 22 right now.Do I dare ask how cold is too cold to work?
