My $3,500 Jaguar - The 'Mad Jag'

Yes ... Don't buy the shit chinesium one I posted...try to get a Ford unit ..

If it's flaking out or stuck open and reporting wrong maybe it won't light

Did you reset and try to fire it up?

I cleared the codes but it still didn't start.

does the pump run at keyon?, any pressure on the rail?

Is that the pump you can pop the seat to get to?

I haven't checked it for pressure. It was getting dark.

It's my understanding that I can get to the pump by removing the rear seat.

I know how hard it is to keep the lines straight on a contoured surface. That headliner looks exquisite and proper in that Jag. Almost looks like Burberry did the interior.

I tried to start the car today, but it wouldn't start. I didn't want to mess with the engine since I'm leaving for the weekend. I did order a new fuel pressure regulator sensor and a MAF sensor.

Today I troubleshooted the lights inside the car and all 15 of them have been upgraded to LED and now work. I never thought opening a car door and see lights inside could be so satisfying. Especially when I keep the ones in my F-150 shut off.

Depending on what it's seeing it won't properly power the driver module. That is what happens with the fords anyway .. but I am assuming it is that style.

What is the driver module?

This Jaguar was built during the time that Ford owned Jaguar, so there's probably some similarities.

It's part of the system. That is like an intech engine.

When it first come out in the mark 8....it used variable voltage to vary fuel pressure.

Shit that makes ya want to go into there to Dearborn, with a cart full of slap the sheet out of the idea engineering teams. ...and slap the stupid out of em.

Apparently Rube was a prolific breeder at Ford for the last 35 years

If you have like an x tool d7 scanner....you can power some of them manually to help trouble shoot ..

Not sure jags do that.

I will be learned n up

I replaced the Fuel Pressure Regulator Sensor ad the MAF Sensor today.

Car still didn't start.

Started re-installing the headliner and decided to try and start the car again and it started. Now it's idling rough. :icon_confused:

If it was strobing injectors with wrong psi it may have loaded the plugs...or dribbles

Is there any special way I should check the fuel pump? Did you say these things get variable voltage going to them?
