i was popped by the state patrol and he was pretty upset that i did not have flaps. atleast all the materials were free i did not have to spend a dime on anything for the flaps best kind of project :yahoo:

I hate mud flaps....reallly hate mud flaps. I remove them everytime I buy a new truck or a used one.....I really hate mud flaps........

....and mud flaps are just as stupid....did I mention that I really hate mud flaps??? lol

Why, so much emotion against mud flaps. I personally like people who actually do have them or keep them installed. I really don't like getting road spray in the windshield. As for my Ranger, it came with splash flaps from the factory. Nothing beats having some extra protection stating, "Ranger" right on the guards.

If the people behind me don't like sprayed then they can go around.

I get pissed on highway when vehicles don't have them and I get nice rocks on my windshield. One day....

the patrol officer told me if he catches me out on the road again with out the flaps that i would get a ticket.

Do you have to put any on the front?

Shut up.

I'm getting sick of you being such a wet blanket all the time.

I have a set of nice Ford ones that I can't figure out how to attach to my truck.

I want to take my fender guards/covers whatever they are called off my ranger, and onto my Explorer but I'm afraid it'll look stupid. I have to do some googling!!!

What I find interesting is that your lifted vehical would have been ok with the factory mud flaps which only come down 4-6 inches. That short of a mud flap would do nothing to stop depris or rain but makes it legal. Why dont the police stop cars with out mud flaps? The law applies to them also.

eclipseguy--Did the officer say how long the mud flaps had to be? OR within so many inches of the ground?

+1

Since I don't like it happening to me I won't willingly do it to others. That and I got tired it sounding like my truck was being shot at as the MT's purged themselves of rocks about about 45mph.
