Mountaineer axle swap

Would a mountaineer axle be the same as the explorer 8.8 in the tech library. I'm leaning towards the mountaineer one cuz its got trac bars in place already... I did the axle flip already so all I would need would be new shock mounts?

Yes, they are the same. Most v8 explorers and v8 mountaineers will have the traction bars...

Me and a fellow TRS brother (jay'94) cleaned out a junkyard one day, pulled five 8.8's, all disc brakes, 3 had tracbar mounts, 2 were v8 explorers, the 3rd was a mounty...

Found a mountaineer axle for $300. Pretty stoked. Has the trac bars. Not sure if it's a limited slip yet tho...
