I have a 1998 ranger xlt that has a 3.0 and an automatic in it but the engine has started to take a dump so i went and bought a parts truck with a 3.0 and a 5 speed manual. I want to put the manual in but i have some questions about the swap, i have the whole truck so i have all the computers and all the parts needed for the swap. my truck has cruise control and the parts truck doesn't so is that a problem and how could i fix that
? Also do i have to swap the steering columns or can i use the one in my truck now with the auto shifter? And the last one is, will the computers and everything fit with out any modifications? The other differences between the two trucks is that the parts truck has power windows and locks and possibly mirrors so is that an issue? Please help with any info i hope to start tearing into this project next thursday.
