I kinda said this in my other thread on the ford 300 but I'm looking for an engine that runs more like a truck engine should (the 300 being a pretty good example). I think I'm sold on an engine swap at this point with my 2.9 being kinda lame (and driving too much like a car). The only ideas I've had so far are a ford 300 or a cummins 4BT. I'd love to hear what ideas you guys have.

Shoehorn some two stroke diesel into it. Nothing sounds like a 2t diesel.

I'd have a hard time bringing myself to put any more German engineering in this truck.

Any in particular?

I know a good number (or all?) of the Detroits are 2 stroke, but thats about the extent of my knowledge on the subject lol sorry.

390 FE Block << THAT'S A TRUCK ENGINE.
Of course if you can make it fit, you might as well take it all the way to a 428.

The 460 is overdone. LOL

I don't think a 300 I-6 would fit, too long.

Engines is goes vroom.

There has been a couple people put a 300 in. One was in a b-2. Searching should find it.
