i know u can put a drop bracket in but are there any other ways to get more travel, i have a 1985 ford ranger, can i just extend the beams or what looking for a wider wheel base

If you want Wider wheel base you can do the D44 Full width Ttb swap and put in the Full width bronco 9" rear to match ! .

How much fabrication will that take and is there anthing else i need to change

In order to run D44/50 TTB you will need custom shafts, buckets, pivots, and arms.

Do a few searchs on cut and turn beams, D44 knuckle swaps, and D44/50 TTB swaps. It has been done and discussed on TRS. Look through CopyKats old posts.
