Might make a home-made bush-guard for my ranger

Ive got a little bush-guard on my truck I wanna make it bigger so I am going to take some medal tubeing boor holes in the side of my guard an run the tube threw the current guard making it as big as the front of my truck covering up my head light.. I was wondering if anyone has done this an it look right..
