Might have ruined my A4LD

The band adjustment is pretty simple with the correct tools. Loosen th nut and then torque on the center bolt to 10ft lbs and back it out 2 full turns counterclockwise, then hold the bolt as you torque the nut around 35ft lbs. Both bands adjust the same. When you change the filter pull the inspection plate on the bottom front of the bell housing and see if the torque converter has the drain plug. If so drain the torque converter and disconnect the tranny coolant lines at the tranny and flush the cooler and lines out good also. You will probably see a bunch of glitter in the bottom of the pan that is normal. You can normally tell if the tranny got too hot by smelling the dipstick but in general just running low on oil will just keep it from going in gear your probably OK. Adjust the bands and then see if you can dial in the 2 to 3 upshift it should fix the weird shift your experiencing. You will know when it is correct on the 3 to 2 downshift, when you drop below 35 mph and press on the throttle you get a nice smooth downshift about half throttle.
